Before I recap our weekend, on Thursday don’t forget to link up with Jen and I for Share Your…Day in the Life! Take pictures of your day in the life and link up back here on Thursday. I love day in the life posts and can’t wait to read everyone’s!
It was pajama day at our school on Friday which is always a great way to start the weekend! If I can wear leggings and an oversized shirt…sign me up.
I also had the cutest little lunch date ever. Parents we invited to have a Dr. Seuss Birthday lunch at school with their kids and since I was teaching, Guy came into my classroom to eat lunch with me. We had ten minutes between the time I had between recess being over and his lunch. It was a quick bite, but a fun lunch. I do appreciate seeing my kids throughout their school days!
Brandon made us A.B.C.L.T. Sandwiches for dinner. We also played games, including Trouble and Pictionary. Pictionary is always one of our favorite games to play.
Saturday was perfect. We have so much snow on the ground and the kids are over it, we all snuggled down in and just relaxed. The kids were hanging out in their rooms and Brandon and I decided to watch “Abducted in Plain Sight” on Netflix…has anyone seen it? I CANNOT believe that documentary. I think my jaw was on the ground through most of it and this meme just kind of sums it all up.
Saturday night I washed my makeup brushes and the kids wanted family movie night so we obliged. The Lorax and yummy snacks were the perfect end to Saturday. It was a wild night, obviously.
On Sunday I taught in the middle school/high school class at Sunday school. I love pouring into those kids. I love that age, I love the questions, I love the things we talk about and the sarcasm, the games, and seeing these kids open up. The lesson was on the premise that it is ok to be sad, just cling to the hope of Jesus.
We came home, made lunch…
I went over our schedule for this coming week (it’s going to be busy…meetings, sports, and more meetings).
We had some family reading time. Maddi read the book “Sheets” this weekend and loved it in case you are needing a good book recommendation for your tween. It was a good weekend to stay inside and enjoy before a busy week ahead. I hope you had a great weekend too.
