Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites {1/11/19}

Today I am linking up  with Andrea, Narci, and Erika.   Today I am recapping some of my favorites from the week.

This week has been the week of meetings every single night for Brandon and I. Something was going on each night this week and we are ready for the weekend. Next week is a little slower, thank goodness.

I love The Wish Tree and so do my students. This book was so cute and such a fun read aloud with fun pictures.

Brandon and I had a date night this week which is always a FAVORITE and my man brought me a bouquet of flowers to work and then another bouquet to enjoy at home. Fresh flowers are always a FAVORITE!

I shared a little Home Refresh tour on the blog this week and love having a de-cluttered house after the holidays. I feel like my home can “breathe” again.

We did a fun science experiment in kindergarten, if you have kids around this age it might be fun to try at home. We predicted which cup would have the most water in it after everything melted throughout the day. I filled up a clear plastic cup with snow, another cup of ice and another cup 3/4 of the way with water. My students all predicted that the snow cup would be the fullest and were shocked when it ended up being the lowest.

This sunrise was the prettiest and a FAVORITE from the week.

Like I said, this week was full of meetings and I had to be at the school late on Wednesday. Brandon delivered a venti tea to me to get me through my meeting! Amen!

On Wednesday night I got some one-on-one time with my boy and he wanted to make our FAVORITE chocolate chip cookies, licking the beater is his FAVORITE.

Brandon coming in and reading to my class will always be a FAVORITE.

What have your favorites from the week been? What plans do you have this weekend? We have a basketball tournament and a fun dinner tonight, the kids have plans with their friends and it is going to be  busy but full weekend. Happy Friday!

    1. I love that man of mine. He is the best! I feel very blessed and I think the same of you and Brian. I hope you have had a great week!

  1. What a FULL, good week! I absolutely LOVE that your husband comes into read to your class!!! We have a pretty low key weekend ahead of us..I have plenty to do- but no real plans…which is SO nice!! Hope it’s a great couple of days off with your crew!

    1. Brandon is like a celebrity when he comes in and reads. Haha! The kids love it and listen to him so well. I hope you had a great week!

  2. Happy Weekend! I’ll have to check out your home refresh–awesome! Sounds like a fun week filled with lots of special moments.

  3. LOVE hearing about how you both are so attentive to each other and go on date nights. Brandon sounds like such a great husband too, bringing you flowers. Isn’t it a wonderful way to brighten up the mid week? I loved the science experiment too. I am so dense sometimes with some things it got me thinking for a bit! Kids (and dense adults like me) love things being shown to them practically – they will remember it for ages! Meetings all week – I bet you were exhausted this weekend! Jxx

    1. Oh he is just the best person. We try really hard to focus on our marriage. We started focusing on it from a biblical way last spring and it changed our life. We love science and I love how hands on the kids can get with it. I hope you have had a great week!

    1. Karma Wilson is from around my area and she is the best! I would LOVE to hear her speak. What an amazing treat for the students! …and staff! I would be star struck! Ha!

  4. That’s such a neat experience! I want to try it out for myself if we ever get snow 🙂 Very pretty sunrise too! I love being greeted by a beautiful sunrise on my drive to work. Hope you’re having a great weekend!
