10 on the 10th…10 Facts About Me

I am linking up with my friend Jen from The Bolin Bunch for her 10 on the 10th link-up. This month we are telling 10 things about ourselves. I have done a few of these posts, you can see 30 Things About Me here,  and here. I also turned to me regional “Jenna Experts” AKA my family and these are the things that they thought of…

  1. “I love you to pieces” is apparently what I say all day every day according to my kids. Ha!
  2. My party trick…playing Name that Tune with old time country music or even the new stuff…Brandon says his party trick is asking me what song is playing and who sings it. I can usually get it correct right away. I love old country music, Dolly Parton forever!
  3. I can play the fiddle. I took years of lessons growing up.
  4. Martha Stewart and June Cleaver are my favorites…I love Martha and June. Martha can do anything and I love June and her dresses and heels and how she was always such a calm mom who always seemed to run her home efficiently.
  5. I love “The Office”. I have watched the series multiple times and Michael Scott will always be my favorite. I also love watching “Friends”, which is another series I have watched several times.
  6. The feeling of free falling scares me. I would never bungee jump because of that feeling. I also hate those rides where you free fall, but I love rollercoasters.
  7. Another fear…it always makes me nervous when I see people “scattered running”. For example, if we are gassing up our car and someone runs into the store, it makes me nervous. If I see several people running (not in running clothes) it makes me nervous. I am just a nervous person I guess.
  8. I got married 20 days after I turned 21. Brandon and I got engaged only 6 months after we met. 13 years strong!
  9. I was the first person in my family to go to college and I have my Masters Degree. I graduated with high honors in undergrad school and graduated with a 4.0 with my Masters Degree three years ago.
  10. I have never in my life been pulled over or gotten any kind of traffic ticket. 10 and 2!

There are just some really random facts about me! I hope you have a great day. Thanks for reading today. What do we have in common?

  1. That is so impressive with the fiddle, and also on not getting a ticket :). Congratulations on your college accomplishments too! I also agree with the scattered running fact :).

  2. So neat! We have several similarities. We got married a month before I turned 21! Dolly Parton is my hero. People running..even at a track scares me. I just hate running in general I think! 🤣😂 I wish I knew how to play the fiddle..move to TN, because we love us a good fiddle!

    1. We do have so much in common! I love your love for Dolly. I think that is so funny about the running. I don’t know why but I just get nervous, like “should I be running too?!?!” Hahaha!

    1. Oh that is so scary. We have some scary old bridges around here and I hate going over them. When it gets super windy one of them actually sways. I hate crossing that one!

  3. I love these post, it is so fun to learn about each other! That is awesome that you graduated with high honors and had a 4.0 in the masters program..lots of hard work especially since you had two kiddos at the time. Have a great Thursday.

    1. Getting my Masters was one of the hardest things I have ever done especially because I had kiddos. But I am so glad that it is over and it really did teach me a lot.

  4. Congrats on your education – something to really be proud of! So cool that you play the fiddle, and I love Martha too. Michael and I got engaged about 9 months after we met – when you know, you know. (We were much older though!) Enjoyed getting to know you more!

    1. I love Martha. I miss her show. I used to watch it every single day. And yes, I completely agree about knowing who you are supposed to be with! I love that you were together for nine months.

  5. I have my Master’s Degree also! But I can’t say I was the first to go to college my grandparents were HUGE on education since my grandfather was a school principal.

    1. Way to go getting your Masters! That’s quite an accomplishment. I love that your grandfather was a principal.

    1. Thank you so much Patty! I don’t know what I will do if I ever do get pulled over…in all honesty I might cry. Hahaha!

  6. Thank you so much for linking up with me today! I learned so many new things about you. The fiddle?!?! That’s awesome! I have only gotten pulled over one time in my life, so close to you. Chris on the other hand is a completely different story…LOL
Hope you have a great weekend!

  7. I LOVE that you know how to play the fiddle!!!! That’s amazing. And WAY TO GO on that Master’s Degree girl. INCREDIBLE!!!

    1. That Masters Degree was HARD. Hahaha! Worth it now, but I doubted it during the process. The fiddle playing makes me laugh, it’s so random but fun to pick up every now and again and surprise my kids with it!

  8. You are one clever woman with degree results like that – wow- what an achievement! Also, I didn’t realise you were married so young – even more of a testament to your marriage. I know what you mean about the free falling – it is a logical fear – the people who want to do it are all clearly crazy. J xx

    1. Oh I hate the feeling of free falling. I cannot imagine choose to jump out of a plane to sky dive or even bungee jump…no thanks. 🙂
