Year in Review

2018 In Review

Wow! What a year. A year full of ups and downs, but A LOT of family time. A year of growing our faith and a year of strengthening our family. Here is a look at our 2018!

…JANUARY…

January was full of AAU Basketball, Guy bought a speed boat, Brandon and I set out to walk 50 miles each month, the weather was mild, and we spent lots of weekend nights playing games.

…FEBRUARY…

In February we spent more time inside because of snow and rainy weather, we had basketball tournaments on the weekends, we were able to get outside and practice baseball, we clebrated the Q and U Wedding in Kindergarten, and I got a beautiful bouquet of roses, and the biggest news…Brandon and I were baptized!

…MARCH…

Sweet March…we got our first taste of spring and spent a lot of time outside riding bikes, working with Harold, doing yard work, watching baseball. Maddi finished up her basketball season and Guy started baseball. We had plenty of game nights and prepared for Easter.

…APRIL…

Fishing, fishing, and more fishing. Anytime we could sneak away and put our poles in the water we did. Guy caught a monster bass while Maddi found all the rocks. Harold went to the fair and was sold, we went to the carnival. We spent Spring Break as a family and went on a little trip which included roller skating and an indoor trampoline park.

…MAY…

May was full of baseball. Guy got to the bat boy for his cousin Tyler’s college baseball team. Maddi and I had some girl time. We enjoyed the sun, made our summer bucket list. We went fishing every chance we got.

…JUNE…

We wrapped up the school year with special awards and ice cream. Guy had perfect attendance and Maddi only missed a 1/2 day of school. We played a lot of golf, Brandon continued to work in the yard (he is my muscles!), we added to our patio, we enjoyed the sunshine, decorated for the 4th of July, went to the circus, and lived our best summer lives.

…JULY…

In July we celebrated the 4th of July, the kids went to Cousin Camp in Disneyland, we played in the water, had lunch dates with Brandon, enjoyed our backyard, harvested from our garden, I got the opportunity and blessing to speak at church, we made loads of slime, Guy went to football camp, and we enjoyed being outside!

…AUGUST…

In August we harvest, spent a lot of time outside in our yard enjoying the big mammoth sunflowers, working in my classroom, went berry picking, took a little road trip, watched the boat races, celebrated our 13th Anniversary, and started school (5th and 2nd grade). Maddi got a locker, I got a sweet class, and Brandon and Guy dreamt of farming.

…SEPTEMBER…

We ushered in fall in September. We “camped”, Guy started football, Maddi read Harry Potter and fell in love with school, we went to the fair, had several date nights, rode carnival rides and enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted.

…OCTOBER…

Oh October. We did you right! Field trips to the fire station and pumpkin patch, hunting, trick-or-treating, finishing 3rd in football, game nights when the days got shorter, time outside enjoying the last of the sunshine and cooler weather, bucks on our porch, a Cougar game and so much fun!

…NOVEMBER…
