Polar Express Hot Chocolate {in the Slow Cooker

Each Christmas season we settle in for the evening and watch one of our favorite Christmas movies, The Polar Express. What makes the movie a little more special is the hot chocolate that comes along with it. …if you can, imagine me singing that hot chocolate song from the movie… But seriously, if you are wanting a fun and cozy night in with your family, make yourself some of this easy hot chocolate with all of the trimmings, put on your comfiest clothes, pile under your fluffiest blankets and get cozy.

You will need…

6 cups of milk
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips (or 2 cups if you don’t want to add the white chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips)
1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup of white chocolate chips

Pour all ingredients into a crockpot and whisk together until well combined.

Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is hot and the chocolate chips are melted. After two hours, kick your slowcooker back to warm.

Whisk well before serving.

Garnish with your favorite toppings…we love marshmallows or whipped cream with some festive sprinkles and of course a peppermint stick!

I hope you are able to enjoy this cup of cheer this holiday season!

From my kitchen to yours,
