Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites {11/30/18}

Today I am linking up  with Andrea, Narci, and Erika.   Today I am recapping some of my favorites from the week.

One of my students made me a handmade wreath for my front door. A definite FAVORITE from the week!

Another FAVORITE moment from kindergarten this week…we were finishing up our math journals and all the kids grabbed a gingerbread book (we are studying the gingerbread man this week) and they were all huddled around the circle area reading books to themselves and others and I couldn’t handle all the cuteness. It wasn’t on the lesson plan but I didn’t stop it either…

I ordered Maddi her Christmas concert dress. This one is on major sale at Old Navy right now and I was able to snag it for $12. Several of their dresses are on sale. Maddi is at that age where the frilly sparkly Christmas dresses just aren’t her thing and I love the color of this dress. It will be a FAVORITE.

Another FAVORITE is this December photo a day for Instagram or Facebook. Just use the hashtag #FMSPAD or tag @fatmumslim. She always does the neatest photo a day challenges and I think I am going to participate this month.

Tonight we are watching the Polar Express and sipping cocoa and enjoying our tree.

Tomorrow our Elf George is coming back for one of my FAVORITE traditions, our North Pole Breakfast. The kids have been a little worried because they haven’t seen George yet so they will be so excited!

I hope you have a great weekend ahead. I hope it filled with a little bit of Christmas cheer and some fun! Happy weekend!

  1. What a sweet gift from your student! My kinder is making Christmas crafts this week and next. I’m not sure if they’re reading any Christmas themed books but considering his teacher’s love for Christmas I bet they are! I wish you a wonderful weekend! xo

    1. Oh I love all the Christmas crafts in the classroom. I love love love all the books and I even put up a tree and an elf in my room today. The kids just freak out and love it! I hope he gets some fun books in! We are all about Christmas in my classroom!

  2. That is so sweet of your student to make a Christmas wreath for you!! I realized this morning that we should have had our elves return today and not tomorrow because now I have to wake up early and get everything out. 🤦‍♀️ Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. The wreath smells so good too. I love the elves! I love seeing what everyone does with theirs too for motivation and ideas!

  3. Such a lovely post! We don’t have Elf on the Shelf or the North Pole Breakfast here yet, but I am sure we will soon – so cute. I am jealous that you got to watch the Polar Express – A and I love it, but the conductor freaks C out and he won’t watch it. We may have to be kids watching it alone. What amazing job your student did making that wreath – it is gorgeous xx

    1. That is so funny about the conductor freaking Caspar out. Guy has a hard time watching The Grinch. I love the Polar Express! Such a classic.
