Today is my kiddos last day of summer break and we have Open House tonight. I am in meetings all day. Hooray for the return of schedules and routines, the return of sports practices and meal plans, the return of the PSL and all things pumpkin coming soon, hooray for a long weekend coming up because we are going to be WIPED OUT come Friday. Here is a look at how we spent the last weekend of summer break…
It was our last lunch with Brandon at Costco. This is the one thing I will miss the most about returning back to work. Each Friday we have went to lunch with Brandon, and it is just something that I am going to miss (seeing him in the middle of the day) once work returns.
Friday afternoon I worked on some blog stuff.
Brandon, the kids and I mowed the church’s yard, the kids rode bikes and then I found Maddi with her nose in a book…
Friday night we went over to our friend’s house for pizza and a movie. We watched The Shack. It was so good. I now want to read the book so bad. Have you seen the movie or read the book?
Saturday morning started at the boat races.
Guy was so excited to see the races.
I worked on the blog some more and published Connie’s Pasta Salad.
Sunday morning was full of Jesus.
We came home on Sunday, ate lunch and then relaxed for a bit.
Maddi helped me make “magic dough” for my kindergarten cuties and the first day of school on Tuesday. I love how much help she is!
Brandon and I also went down to my classroom. You guys, the beginning of the school year is always a little stressful and this man of mine came with me just to give me some piece of mind.
I made this chocolate sour cream bundt cake for desserts for this week…it is amazing! I think every Sunday should include a good dinner and a yummy dessert.
After dinner Brandon cleaned up the kitchen and the kids and I sorted and labeled all of their supplies.
It was a great weekend. I hope you had a great one as well. Thanks for stopping by today! What are you most excited for this week? I am looking forward to getting back to school and falling back into a routine…and a PSL won’t hurt either! Happy Monday!
