What a sweet little weekend we just had. Friday morning I slept in (past 7…which is almost unheard of). The kids and I met up with Brandon for lunch (which is actually brunch!).
Since I slept in that morning, I went for my walk around noon. It was HOT! Those four miles were hot and hard but completely worth it.
After my walk while I was stretching I had two little visitors. Can you spot them?
Friday night Brandon and I mowed our church’s yard and then picked up Dominos Pizza. We were wiped out so we all found snuggled up under blankets, ate pizza and watched Family Matters.
On Saturday Brandon and I did some quick errands that morning, and I came home and painted my nails. I love this new Essie color.
I also cleaned out the kids clothes. We donated four bags of clothes!
It was my Dad’s 60th Birthday party so I made Paula Deen’s Corn Salad with Fritos…always a crowd pleaser.
Sunday morning was spent at Church. After church we all came home, ate lunch and then took naps. After nap time we headed down to my classroom to get some work done. I head back for a couple days of meetings this week so I needed to get some finishing touches done.
This man of mine has been such a helper. He put together all of my reading logs and stuffed all of my Open House folders for me while I worked on computer stuff.
Brandon had a meeting on Sunday night so while the kids watched some TV I was able to clean the fridge.
I also haven’t been meal planning as often, as you can see by my empty fridge. Hahaha! I also snapped Tara way too much! HA!
What did you do this weekend? Mama’s, who is ready for school to start and get back to a regular schedule? I am so excited for our routine and schedule. I am MOST excited for sports to start back up! Teacher friends, are you back yet? If not, when do you start? Happy Monday!
