10 on the 10th…Favorite Beauty Products and Tips

Today I am so excited to be sharing my favorite beauty products and tips and tomorrow I will be linking up with one of my favorite ladies, Erin from Simple Purposeful Living.

I am a self-admitted product junkie. I love trying new products and I love sticking to tried and true products that I love as well. Here we go…

I like doing my nails at home, I feel like it really saves on money. My tips for making my at-home manicure and pedicure are one coat of Essie base coat, two coats of Essie polish (this is my favorite and can be a little spendy, but really lasts and I love the coverage), and then a top coat of Seche Vite. If you get anything, get Seche Vite top coat, it is super shiny and dries FAST!

Tinkle Eyebrow Razors are a MUST as well. These are my favorite little things. They are amazing and cheap!

I love, and would be lost without my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer. It makes my eyeshadow stay in place all day long. I love this stuff. Magic!

I love a good lip gloss. I love this balm because not only is it colorful, but it also is glossy. Another tip I have learned is to put your gloss on, then add your lipstick. You still get the same coverage but it lasts longer on your lips!

This mascara is gold…even the tube says it all! I love this stuff. It goes on great, stays on great, and lengthens and thickens my lashes like crazy.

Face masks are always a must! I like to always try different ones, I’m not really brand specific with these!

I am a firm believer in the power of washing your face each night, as well as removing your eye makeup.

And moisturizing your face after each wash and then before putting on make up. My favorite will forever be Ponds!

I love and swear by my Beauty Blender.

And speaking of Beauty Blender…this is my “foundation routine”. My skin is naturally oily on my nose. So, what I do is first moisturize with Ponds, then I squirt a pea-sized amount of this CC cream onto my damp (but squeezed out) Beauty Blender and blend it all over my face.

Then I top it all off with Covergirl Translucent Powder. I have been using this powder since middle school. I don’t even know if I really need it anymore, but I just can’t stop. Plus, I feel like it helps control the shine.

I need your help and advice, how do I get rid of that oil/shine on my nose mid-day? What are your favorite beauty products? Have you been using some since middle school?!?!? I would love to know your favorites…and also get a remedy for my shiny nose! Thanks for reading today!

  1. I love these types of posts! I don’t use a base coat but I cannot live without Seche Vite top coat. I prefer the bigger OPI polish brush but I have lots of Essie. I love the urban decay primer but I ran out. Maybe try benefit pore stuff on your nose. It makes it matte. It’s on my Tuesday post. You could also use one of those oil sheets midday.
I will put some of your products on my list!

    1. I do love the OPI brushes! I am going to have to try the oil sheets. I am looking for them at WalMart this weekend! Thank you! And I have been wanting to try the benefit pore stuff for awhile. Thank you for your recommendations.

  2. I use Ponds moisturizer. It lasts forever, so I usually only buy the toiletry size. I’ve got to try that Seche Vite! I do my own nails during the spring and summer, but because my hands and cuticles are so dry in the fall and winter, I go to the salon for gel nails. Happy Friday!

    1. Funny thing about my base coat…my nail polish kept chipping so Brandon googled why, googled the best base coat and ordered it for me! Hahahaha! Sweetest thing ever. And, it really does make the biggest difference.

  3. Question for you – all my polishes make my nails dry and peel – any tips on keeping them in good condition when wearing polish? You also reminded me to buy an eyeshadow primer – I am sat here at work and for some reason on some days I start off with it on and by midday is has either a. slid down my face b. miraculously ‘disappeared’ or c. crusted up. Hence I’ve never done a post on makeup – It’s not my forte :(( J xx
