Sausage balls are one of the quickest and yummiest appetizers a person can make. These would be perfect for a Super Bowl party or for a “Brinner”…breakfast for dinner. The game changer in my Sausage Balls…cream cheese and Bisquick.
You will need…
1 pound of hot sausage…I use Jimmy Dean Hot Sausage
8 oz of cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cups Bisquick
1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a cookie sheet with a silpat or spray a baking sheet with a little bit of PAM.
In a large bowl, add all ingredients. The best tool in your kitchen is a clean pair of hands. I mix this mixture with my hands. It just works best because the mixture is thick.
Next, roll the sausage mixture into ping-pong sized balls and arrange them on the cookie sheet.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are brown.
Enjoy this wonderful crowd pleaser.
