Happy Monday! What a great weekend we just wrapped up. It was full of turkey and good food, it was full of family, it was full of friends, and it was full of memories. I am leaving for work this morning with a bit of a heavy heart and sad that it is over but I am looking forward to so much excitement that this season brings!
Our weekend actualy started on Wednesday. We had early release and this little Indian came into my classroom after his feast with the pilgrims (2nd grade).
Because it was early release the kids and I went to lunch. They picked Zips for some chicken strips and fries.
When we got home I started prepping for Thanksgiving. I made the cranberries, the pies, peeled the potatoes, made the sweet potatoes, and had a fun night in the kitchen.
We had 29 people at our house on Thanksgiving and it was such a great time with lots of food.
We also played Pie Face with my parents and aunt, uncle, and cousin.
We also put up our Christmas tree when everyone left. The kids were so excited.
Friday was spent decking our halls. The kids loved this.
We also went to Home Depot for some paint and a radio and look who we ran into…
On Saturday night we went up to our friend’s cabin and sat around a fire. It was a great time with friends and their dog. Plus, they have kids our kid’s ages so it is a win-win for all people involved.
Sunday we went to my parents house to visit and then we went to the movies with our cousins.
We had a busy and fun weekend. I hope you were able to celebrate with loved ones this weekend.
