Happy Fri-YAY! I hope that you have had a great week. We sure did. I love the weather lately, and I also am looking forward to the incoming rain. We have our last home football game tonight, I love one more chance to soak in those Friday Night Lights. Also, my bestie Tara’s husband has been fishing in the Bassmaster B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship so we have been following him. Seeing people work so hard to make their dreams come to fruition is always so amazing. Seeing hard working, average, everyday people with love and support living their dream and being able to share in the excitement…the best.
I found two new FAVORITE read aloud books. These are super cute. If your kiddo shave a Scholastic Book Fair or Reading Club Book Order, look into these books. Strictly No Elephants is about friendship and welcoming people in. The pictures are adorable too.
And my second FAVORITE read aloud is Frankencrayon. This is a cute read aloud about broken crayons, scribbling, and taking good care of your supplies, friendship, and problem solving.
I don’t know about you, but I love my wax melter. Harvest Moon is my new FAVORITE scent. It is light and refreshing and pairs nicely with pumpkin candles that I have lit all over my home. I get these from the WalMart for $2.
Glitter and pumpkins, our FAVORITE art project from the week.
Last week we went to our football game on Friday and the temp was in the 40’s. It was C-O-L-D. We brought our little propane heater and it was a big hit. It just uses the little propane bottles. We got ours on Black Friday last year, but you can also find them at WalMart for $69.99 right now.
One of my friends is a mom who literally does everything. She is just one of those people who is super fun, crafty, and thoughtful. I have had two of her boys in my class in previous years. Last week they hand delivered me this homemade pumpkin and cream cheese bread. It was a FAVORITE around the house!
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already heard that Wednesday started out a little rough. The kids woke up fighting over a fidget spinner for 10 minutes, I thought it was Thursday until it was time to go to school, it was just a rough morning. I snapped this picture and we got ready to leave for school. After ten solid minutes of searching for my keys, I couldn’t find them. I tore the house apart looking for them. We ended up having to walk to school and we were late. It was not a good start to the morning, but after a cup of coffee and some hugs from my students, the day quickly turned around. Maddi and Guy loved walking to school (they had no clue we were late) so they were happy as can be. This is my new FAVORITE picture of me and the kids. The calm inbetween the storms. Life is messy and sometimes we just have to roll with it.
So how was your week? What was your FAVORITE part of the week? I would love to hear! I hope you have a great weekend! Thank you so much for reading!
