Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap…

Woohoo for a fresh week with a brand new start. I love Mondays because they are a blank slate. I am linking up with my girls, Johannah and Heather.

Friday was picture day so we showed up to school looking sharp. I just love picture day and how dressed up the kiddos get. I love that Maddi let me curl her hair and she looked so much older to me.

Friday was also our last day of September in the classroom. On those super tough days in September I remind myself that “the pumpkins are coming”. Kindergarten in September is no joke…we are learning everything and some days it is HARD…so when I see pumpkins I know that the students usually know our routines and procedures and can behave like students. Seeing pumpkins on my October calendar made me so happy!

My mom dropped off a fun craft project for the kids before school on Friday and that afternoon the kiddos were super excited to work on them. I also love Guy giving himself the bunny ears.

Friday was full of pizza and snuggles and we were all in bed early. Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and headed to our cousin’s little peewee football game (tackle). It was fun to watch and then we went grocery shopping. This week is apple week (in Kindergarten) and I left WalMart with no less than 25 pounds of apples and three different kinds. I love apple week!

Also, check out these leaves at Costco. I love fall.

Saturday night we were back at the football field watching our H.S. team. We also went to a spaghetti feed after the game. I love our community!

Sunday morning I slept in and Brandon brought me a coffee. He knows the way to my heart.

We have three different birthday parties coming up so we went to WalMart again for some presents and the kids picked out their Halloween costume…can you guess what they are going to be?

Maddi went to a Birthday party and Guy was pretty tired. We had an early bath time and he got on his P.J.’s and we watched a movie. It was the perfect way to spend Sunday afternoon.

We had a great weekend full of friends and family time. We have a fun week ahead. I hope you had a great weekend and were able to relax. Have a great day!

  1. Oh my goodness. I didn’t teach K but I always said the first month was like running a marathon. I would come home exhausted. My mom gives my kids those cute crafts too, we live parallel lives sometimes I think – ha! xoxo ERIN

  2. Haha! I love the costumes your kiddos chose. My kids are drawn to those large animal heads overtime we are in the stores. 🙂

  3. I love picture day as well! However….it saddens me that I can no longer pick out Emma’s outfit for picture day. Hahaha She has her own style and sometimes I just have to “go with it” even though sometimes it drives me insane! LOL

It looks like you guys had a great weekend!!!

    1. Ohhhh I hear you Johannah! Maddi dresses like Punky Brewster and I have really struggled at letting stuff go. I miss the Gymboree days…or at least when her clothes matched. 🙂 This is something I struggle with almost daily.

  4. I love the background in the football field photo! It’s just not something I see every day. 🙂 We had picture day this past week too. It always cracks me up how my oldest wants to get dressed up and really look handsome. Makes me so proud!
