I don’t know about you all, but since school has started it has seemed like time has flown by. My house was in need of some TLC, my fridge and pantry needed stocked, and I had a to-do list a mile long this weekend. The best part, we were home. Well, scratch that, we were all home on Saturday and then Sunday Brandon took the kids to his parent’s farm for a fun day while I stayed home, baked, cleaned, did all the laundry, and prepped for next week. For the first time in a long time I am feeling recharged and ready to face a BUSY week ahead.
Friday night I scrubbed the kitchen and mopped the floors. I hate a messy kitchen and I liked starting my weekend with a clean one. I then sat down and watched an episode of The Office with Brandon and enjoyed my cup of tea.
Saturday morning was full of football. Guy had his first game and it was so much fun. He is a big kid and spends a lot of time on the line. However, he got to play running back and ran it in for a touchdown. One thing that I love about football is it really is a team sport and the boys worked together so well. It was fun to see them click and “get it”. Plus, his team is full of some of my favorite boys and families in the world…
After the game we switched Maddi out with a friend and brought home two little players with us. Seriously, my Mama heart was full to have hungry little boys eating a big lunch and playing football and NERF gun wars in our backyard.
Sunday was full of prepping and laundry and cleaning and dragging out some fall decorations, and a couple of episodes of Hart of Dixie. Plus, watching the Seahawks win. I hope you had a great weekend!
Twice baked potatoes were for dinner and Guy and Maddi gobbled them up! I love making their favorite dinners on Sunday night.
