Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites {9/8/17}

Happy Friday! Today I am linking up with Narci, Andrea and Erika . 46589-friday2bfavorites2b01

This week has been a little crazy. There are huge wildfires all over the Pacific Northwest. We need rain. Pray for rain! Pray for all the firefighters and people who are evacuating.

I am so glad that we took our kiddos to Multnomah Falls this summer because it has now burned. Thankfully, they were able to save the historic lodge, but so much is burning.

Here are my favorites from the week…a FAVORITE meme…

Because Brandon mixed me up a gin and tonic and I was feeling pretty good after one! By the way, gin and tonics are my FAVORITE and so are these little light up limes!

Our FAVORITE way to spend a Friday night!

My FAVORITE breakfast this week has been this pumpkin spice greek yogurt and a couple of walnuts.

When the PSL’s come out and your husband hand delivers one to my classroom, and it has a fun Seahawk sleeve… three of my FAVORITES!

Guy is my reluctant learner. I have kept a lot of worry inside and that little boy has knocked my socks off. He is working so hard at school. Seeing his excitement for homework and spelling as well as sight words has been a FAVORITE.

My FAVORITE girl was one of two students who completed a big homework packet this summer and she is really excited because her 3rd grade teacher is taking her out for a milkshake today. Relationships go beyond the classroom and that is also a FAVORITE of mine!

Tuesday morning this was our view…SMOKEY. Now you cannot see the mountain because of all the smoke. This is not a FAVORITE.

What are your plans for the weekend? I hope you have a great one!

  1. OH my gosh your sweet man bringing you a PSL. I Was bummed yesterday, they were outta the syrup, LOL. I too eat my pumpkin yogurt with a few nuts thrown in. Yay for a milkshake with teacher!!! Great job!! Happy weekend pretty lady!!

  2. Oh man. Those fires have me so bummed out. So much turmoil and devastation is going on right now and it is breaking my heart. Great job to your girly on finishing all of that work. Her reward is well deserved. I hope you guys have a great, rainy, weekend friend.

    1. It is nuts how many fires there are around us. They are saying that some will not be out until it snows. That is crazy. I love that her teacher took her out for a milkshake, that meant so much to her and I loved seeing her so excited. I hope you had a great weekend!

    1. SOOOO good! I would suggest sprinkling a little more pumpkin pie spice on top because I love that stuff, but it is really good. The smoke blew out this weekend and we hope it doesn’t come back!

    1. Luckily, those fires are staying away and so far they are pretty much wild fires. It was just super smokey. They don’t think some of the fires will be put out until it snows this winter which is crazy. I hope you are all safe with Irma, I have been thinking of you all this weekend!

  3. Sorry to hear you are close to the fires. We had smoke all the way down here and we’re far away! That’s great that the kids who finished the homework get to go out for a milkshake. That’s a great incentive!

    1. So far the smoke has blown out, so that is good. Air quality is improving. Luckily, the fires seem to have missed homes and structures. That is crazy that you all had smoke too. I loved that her teacher did that for her and the other student!

  4. That’s really so sad about that park. I’m happy you got to take your kids before that happened. If only we could send all the rain going on down south up to the fires. It’s just crazy the devastation mother nature is providing right now. I’ll have to check out that Pumpkin Spice yogurt. I only like Dannon Greek Light & Fit (yes, I’m not a big fan of any yogurt but this) but I’ll try it to see how it is. (most yogurts are just to TANGY for my tastes) What a sweet teacher to spend time outside of the class with your daughter and what a great accomplishment for her to do the packet. Love that. Have a great weekend!

    1. I really like the yogurt. I think it would be really good with a little extra pumpkin pie spice sprinkled on top. I loved that her teacher did that for her! It really meant a lot to her and me!
