What's Up Wednesday

What’s Up Wednesday {August 2017}

Happy Wednesday. Today is one of my favorite monthly link-ups and recaps of the month. Today I am linking with Mel, Shay, and Sheaffer  for What’s Up Wednesday! I love this round up of our month, let’s take a look at August.

What we’re eating this week…

You can check out my meal plan for the week here and every Sunday I post the new menu for the upcoming week.

Meal Planning

What I’m reminiscing about…

First day of schools. I don’t know how my little babies are so big now.

What I’m loving…

This mascara. I picked it up from Walmart and it literally does everything it says it going to. I love how much length it gives my lashes and makes them look curled as well. I have been using Mac Haute and Naughty for a long time and this stuff is even better.

What we’ve been up to…

We headed back to school this week. Tuesday was our first day.

What I’m dreading…

Nothing…there is so much I am looking forward too. If I had to pick something it would be the HOT temps here…100+ for as long as we can see.

What I’m working on…

Preserving my garden. Come back next week to see how I make some of my garden veggies last throughout winter.

What I’m excited about…

All the new school supplies and happiness of a new school year. The beginning of the school year is my Super Bowl!

What I’m watching/reading…

Brandon and I started The Office again. We are zooming through it.

What I’m listening to…

Kidz Bop Pandora

What I’m wearing…

I have loved getting dressed and ready for work the past week. All things Old Navy are back in full rotation.

What I’m doing this weekend…

We are going to our first home football game of the season on Friday, watching football on Saturday, and having a low-key weekend at home. We are also going to hopefully have a card game or two! Aint no tired like teacher tired and I just really want to lay on my couch and not move for a good solid couple of hours at some point too…

And ready to get TEACHER TIRED: | 26 Pictures That Are Way Too Real For Teachers Going Back To School

What I’m looking forward to next month…

Any guesses?!?!

What else is new…

My Simple Spaghetti Sauce.

BONUS QUESTION…Tips for school lunches…

I like using different sizes of tupperware for food containers. I also like putting in a mix of everything into their lunches. They love pastas, and other food that we eat at home and have access to a microwave to warm things up. Also, I like adding in a wet wipe 🙂 You can get other lunch ideas here.

I hope you had a great August!

  1. Happy Wednesday babe! I got that mascara after seeing it on here last week and love it! You look so cute in that darling striped dress! Bring on the football!

  2. Love those back to school comparison shots. Oh girl, I hope you get a cool down soon. We had some weather like that a while back and I was VERY quickly over it. We’re back to highs in the 80’s now, I’ll take it. Happy Hump Day!

  3. I need to try that mascara! I have been using the Loreal Voluminous Feline mascara, and I do love it and recommend it, but I need to try this one you are recommending now! I love a good mascara.
Are you guys going to a Mariners game?? So exciting!!! As you know, Baseball has my heart!!
I love the dress on you in the picture with the white cardigan, so cute!!
    Have a great Wednesday!!

    1. Thank you! We are going to a Mariners game and are pretty excited! It is just Brandon and I going this time. I love a new beauty product too! Mascara, lip gloss, nail polish, I love them all! 🙂

  4. That is so crazy that y’all are getting all of those hot temps! I think y’all just took them from us this year because our summer actually hasn’t been bad at all. Today it’s not getting out of the 70’s and for the next ten days it’s not even getting out of the 80’s. That is SO unusual for us this time of year. We’re normally sitting around 100 with 90% humidity!

  5. Aww, I love the back to school pictures! So sweet! And we are going to miss those high temperatures in about 3 months. 😉
