Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap…Holding onto Summer Edition…

Happy Monday! Today I am linking with two of my favorites, Johannah and Heather.

This was such a fun, relaxing weekend. On Friday I was in meetings most of the work day.

And then I also put the finishing touches on my room. I am so excited because I get to meet my new little students tonight at Open House. Everything is getting labeled today and I am really excited.

Friday night we had pizza and watched the Seahawks. It was such a great end to our week.

Saturday morning we swung into our favorite coffee shop and then headed up to my parent’s house to watch jet boat races. How beautiful and amazing is their view?

Guy “accidentally” fell into the water. Maddi followed. And they looked for crawdads while we waited for the racers to come by.

We were seriously so close to them as they came by. Those boats are FAST!

Between their trip up, and back, we had a BBQ lunch with my parents and then went back down to see them coming back by.

We also played a little golf.

When we got home the kids watched a movie and Brandon napped so I worked on the blog for a bit. It was such a great afternoon.

That night we went to a birthday party for our cousin Ryann. She turned 11 and the kids just ran and ran. It was the perfect ending to a great day. I did not snap any pictures there.

Sunday, Brandon and I went grocery shopping and then I came home and mowed the yard. Lines in my lawn make me just as happy as vacuum lines in my carpet. Ha!

I also made up a batch of zucchini bread. I use my Father-in-Law’s recipe and it is always SO yummy.

We cleaned the house, did laundry, and watched Big Brother. It was a great weekend and now we are ready for a busy week. I hope you had a great weekend as well!
