Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap…and TBB Asks

Happy Monday! Today I am linking with two of my favorites, Johannah and Heather.

Friday started off with a great garden haul and coffee while I watered. Seriously water my garden and flowers with coffee is my favorite way to spend my mornings.

I also cleaned the fridge Friday morning. We had NO food because of traveling (unless I wanted to make a pickle and mayo wrap…Hahahaha!

And then I went grocery shopping and filled it back up.

Friday afternoon was spent watching Malificent, mopping, and laundry. Friday evening the kids and I ran down to my classroom and I also sharpened all of their pencils for back to school.

Saturday morning I tried this yummy new yogurt along with some fresh huckleberries.

Friday night I brought home all of my crayon, pencil, and table garbage cans and washed them in the dishwasher. They came out looking like new.

I went to a yardsale and retired kindergarten teacher was having and walked away with a lot of books, great learning games, and more. I then went to my hair appointment. I went a little darker and love it. I also learned how to do a middle part (without it looking flat).

I came home and frosted the cupcakes for my grandparents Anniversary party. I made homemade chocolate buttercream on top of vanilla cupcakes and peanut butter frosting on top of chocolate cupcakes.

My grandparents celebrated 65 years of marriage. The party was so much fun and was full of family and close family friends.

The hall we rented had a pool so after (and before) the party the kids swam their little hearts out.

Sunday was glorious. After two weeks of working from 5:30-9:30 straight, Brandon was home. We went to Starbucks, bought our school supplies, and had a great day of family time. I was so caught up in the day that IĀ  only took one picture.

The kids went to my parents house in the afternoon and Brandon and I had a date night…chinese food, Game of Thrones and Big Brother. Harvest is wrapping up, Brandon is headed back to his City job this week. I hope your week is off to a great start!

  1. Such a great weekend Jenna! I love the hair and the garden haul. 65 yeas?! Talk about goals! Isn’t that yogurt SO good. It tastes a lot like the homemade stuff I used to make.

    1. I LOVE the yogurt but then I looked at the nutrition facts and kinda freaked out. I do LOVE that I can read every single ingredient and how fresh it is. I saw that they have a lemon one and want to try it but I haven’t seen it in my stores yet. I know, 65 years is amazing. They are seriously the cutest couple ever!

  2. Yay what a fun weekend. I love that you got a family day date in and then a date night. I love your hair color and waves! You are beautiful! xoxo ERIN

    1. Thank you Erin! I am loving the brown. It was so much fun getting in some good family time but then a date night as well because those are too far and few between. Happy Monday my friend!

    1. I just put them in and they turned out amazing! Like new. I had never done it before and will probably do it at Christmas and Spring Break as well. I hate how nasty they start looking. I had dried up drip glue in them as well and it was all washed away. Easy Peasy. Happy Monday!

    1. He is such a weirdo! But I love him. They still have quite a bit to cut but have to wait for it to turn so we are going to enjoy him being home more šŸ™‚ Everyone needs a Starbucks run. Happy Monday!

  3. Too funny, I don’t like the grape Popsicles either! So happy you did this and I loved getting a glimpse into your sweet weekend! Your cupcakes look great, I love that new vanilla yogurt in the little jar’s, and ticonderoga pencils all the way! Happy Monday beautiful lady!

    1. Those pencils are the best! I am always in love when parents send them in! Thanks for the e-mail about the link-up. It was so much fun and I love reading everyone’s responses and getting to know them better. The yogurt is so good, but pretty high in calories so it will be a little treat every now and then! šŸ™‚ Have a great start to your week!

  4. What a fun weekend, and I loved reading your TBB asks list! I’ve been wanting to try that yogurt, but I better wait til I’m done dieting! Have a great week!
