Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites {8/4/17}

Happy Friday! Today I am linked up with Narci, Andrea and Erika and sharing my favorites from the week

We had so much fun this week. I took the kiddos on a little road trip to visit Brandon’s parent’s while he was busy with harvest. The kids got in some GREAT cousin time. Here are my favorites from the week…

SLIME! My kids loved playing with this. They would play with it for hours at a time and loved it. I have only made the slime with Borax (hello kindergarten) but we are looking forward to making different kinds each week!

New, fresh haircuts are also a FAVORITE. I love when Guy makes his hair “fancy”.

In myΒ What I’m Reading {July 2017} post I mentioned that Guy has been loving the “How To…” books (Babysit Grandma, Babysit Grandpa). My friend Tara snapped me on Monday and told me about this fun new FAVORITE read aloud for the first day…hurry to Costco.

On Tuesday the kids and I went on a little road trip to see their cousins and grandparents. Road trips are always a FAVORITE…so are the snacks.

Nothing says fun cousin time like all fitting into one room! A FAVORITE memory being made.

These trampoline parks are so much fun and was the FAVORITE activity.

Every year I swear several students do this…not a FAVORITE but this is too funny and true.

This was also a FAVORITE from Facebook this week.

Guy’s FAVORITE way to shop at Target. He was over. it.

And because I am as #basic as they come, I can’t wait for fall…a FAVORITE!

This weekend we are celebrating my grandparent’s 65th Wedding Anniversary! I hope you have something fun to look forward to as well. Happy Friday!

  2. 65 years what a blessing and legacy! Congrats to them, definitely something to celebrate for sure. We only have to send 5 glues tics but my friend in Mississippi has to send 25 glue sticks, now I know why ;). I never had a kid do that, you kindergarten teachers must get them on the right path before first grade ;)! xoxo ERIN

    1. I am really excited to try glue sponges in my classroom this year. We ask kiddos to bring in 8 glue sticks but I think that might last us until October so I am going to break out the glue sponges then. I can’t wait until the first day and all the excitement and new-ness. Happy weekend!

  3. Oh my word Guy and Emily would get along so stinking well. She has the same preferred shopping position. I had to lol over the glue sticks. Kids can be so… creative. Yeah, lets go with that ;). Have a great weekend!

    1. If we walk into any store that is not about Guy he is done. He is not a good shopper. Last year he told someone while we were shopping at Old Navy that he needed a nap to make the day stop. Hahahaha! Maddi can hang though. Happy weekend Britt!

  4. Aww happy anniversary to your grandparents! I love Guy’s “fancy” hair too cute! Ugh, I actually ban gluesticks in my middle school classroom. They manage to lose caps, get it all over their desks, their hands, their neighbor’s hands! So annoying! We are strictly a tape classroom! 😁 Have a fabulous weekend!

    1. I am so excited, we ask for 8 glue sticks at the beginning of the year, however, I swear they only last for 30 minutes. This year I am making glue sponges and I hope they work out better. I think it will be so much easier.

    1. That is how I feel about fall too Heather! When we go back I always expect the leaves outside of my classroom to change colors instantly. Hahahaha!

  5. Yea for cousin time! The countdown to fall is ON, although it really won’t get to Texas until November. I can pretend though with a cozy candle and lots of air conditioning! Have a great weekend!

    1. I know, I love that they have been married that long and are still just as in love as the day they met. That is really funny about the slime and your kiddos. I love summer but I also LOVE fall!
