Weekend Recap..An Early Celebration

hellomonday

Happy Monday. As always, I am linking with my ladies, Heather and Johannah for their Hello, Monday link-up.

We had a fun weekend celebrating the 4th of July early. On Friday we met Brandon for lunch.

And then when Brandon was off work on Friday we headed up to the mountains to my parent’s cabin.

Poor Guy has had a heck of a time with his asthma and allergies lately.

On Saturday we took the kids to the creek to swim. Their cousins were also there so we had a good time.

Once swimming was over we had a big BBQ with family and then decorated the RAZR’s and 4-wheelers to hand out candy, pinwheels, flags, and more to people who were watching the big fire work show.

Here is the crew before the parade.

My mom and I before the parade.

And here is a picture of all of us handing out goodies during the parade.

We then watched the firework show.

When we got home on Sunday we all napped, did a bunch of laundry (I love the campfire but HATE the smell once we are home), and then I went to water my garden and look what was waiting for me!

We had a fun weekend. What did you do this weekend? Any early celebrating? Have a great Monday!

  1. Aaahhh!!! The tomato at the end made me smile. It always seems like ripe tomatoes start showing up around the 4th! Y’all are adorable in your red white & blue. Happy almost the 4th!

  2. Totally agree with you about the campfire after smell- it’s the worst! Looks like a super fun weekend- our town seems to be celebrating early this year, too so I’m a little confused about what to do tomorrow! Hope you guys have a great week!

    1. Campfires are SO fun until you get home and everything smells like smoke 🙂 we have a big firework show tomorrow but it should be a laid back day 🙂 Happy 4th of July!

  3. Your 4th of July celebration looks like a ton of fun! We love the fourth too! Hope your son is doing better! Not fun to have allergies!
