What’s Up Wednesday {April 2017}

Happy Wednesday! Today I am linking with Today I am linking with Mel, Shay, and Sheaffer for What’s Up Wednesday.

What we’re eating this week…

You can see what we are eating this week here (Meal Planning Sunday #22).

What I’m reminiscing about…

Time spent at our local fair…we are so excited for this weekend!

What I’m loving…

All of the spring flowers that have really came out in full force the last two weeks.

What we’ve been up to…

This month was full of soccer, and baseball…

Spending time with family at Easter…

A girls night…

And spending as much time in what little sun we had, working in our yard, and getting things ready for spring and summer…

What I’m dreading…

All the crazy and the amount of stress that is brought on by the end of the school year (State testing, report cards, field trips, special presentations, field day, aquatic center day, andso much more). The good part is that everything is fun and exciting, just stressful.

What I’m working on…

I am working on filling my garden boxes with some top soil.

What I’m excited about…

Kindergarten Graduation. My boy is graduating from Kindergarten this coming month and I cannot wait! The program is so emotional to begin with, but having my own kiddo moving on is tough as well.

What I’m watching/reading…

Last month I read some fun books, including my new favorite book. You can read my reviews here.

On Second Thought: The Addictive Bestseller That Has Everyone Captivated! by [Higgins, Kristan]

I also found a new show that is worthy of a binge…Nashville quickly became something that I cannot stop watching. I LOVE it! I just started watching it this weekend on Hulu #cantstopwontstop

What I’m listening to…

Mariner Games on the radio. We are kickin’ it back old school. That’s what happens when you cancel your Dish service. Haha!

What I’m wearing…

This month I made it one of my goals to wear something different each day of the month and so far I have been successful. This month included my momiform of boyfriend jeans, sneakers, and long sleeve tops…

And some fun spring colors and prints…you can find the entire outfit here

What I’m doing this weekend…

The fair is in town and we are going to go! This is something that we look forward to each and every year and this year is no different. From the carnival to the cotton candy to the animals, we love it all.

What I’m looking forward to next month…

May is always a fun month. We have so much to look forward to around here, we have a day at the water park, college baseball games to go to, and it usually warms up and the sun makes it’s appearance. May also means planting my flowers and my garden.

Here are some pictures from my garden last year.

What else is new…

Not much else is new. We have are looking forward to slowing down and spending more time at home now that soccer is over.

Favorite spring/summer shoe…

I love a good sandal in the spring and summer. Here are my favorites that I will be wearing this summer…

And then this pair is also a favorite…

  1. Love the stripes and the floral. I have never taken my girls to the fair, but I really should sometime. I bet they would have the best time. I hope you get through the end of the year without to much added stress. I can only imagine.

  2. Praying for you and other teachers out there. I know this is a hectic time of the year, but Summer’s coming😜
I loved those outfits you posted..perfect momiform, and those mustard pants are too cute

  3. I cried like a baby at both of my girls kindergarten graduations. Praying for you and all teachers right now because it is so hectic with everything that goes on at the end of the school year. Hope you guys have fun at the fair this weekend!!

    1. Thanks for your prayers! This time of year is always so bittersweet. There are SO many fun things coming up but it is a little overwhelming to think about. I appreciate your thoughts!

  4. I have some similar Sam Edelman sandals that are flip flop looking and love them! Love that we had the same idea to wear more of our closet! Hang in there, the end of the year is so hectic! Xoxo Erin

    1. I am loving all the spring and summer clothes and colors. I love this time of year. I have really tried to be better about using a lot more from my closet. I feel like I have worn the same outfits for a while now and am happy to be able to wear at least some lighter tops 🙂

    1. Thanks for the outfit love! The end of the year is crazy, but so much fun. There always seems to be so much stuff going on outside of school to like BBQ’s, baseball, soccer, get togethers, plus just staying outside later into the evenings because of the beautiful weather. Happy Wednesday!

  5. I’m exhausted and I’m not even a teacher. HA.

Love your outfits! Super cute! I have Old Navy cash I need to use asap!

I’m planting my boxes too! Can’t wait to see yours.

  6. Love the flowers! I have watched many seasons of Nashville and it’s so good. For some reason, I can’t reply to your comments on my blog. So to answer your comment about the top, I bought it in store at Walmart, but it is available online. Have a great week!

    1. Thank you Tanya! I think I solved the no-reply thing. I just worked on that tonight! I love that top and will have to keep my eyes out for it! Nashville has me hooked. I am glad that the other seasons are just as good.
