Welcome Home Home Tour…The Kitchen

Before I show you my kitchen I would like to let you all know of a fun monthly link-up I am hosting with two of my favorite bloggers, Heather and Johannah!

Our girls are reading The Babysitters Club. If you have a girl who would love to read this book along with them, pick the book up and then link back to one of our blogs on May 24th and answer these questions….

Maddi has loved reading the book so far, and has loved being in her own book club! It is a great way to promote summer reading and reading for enjoyment (which my teacher heart just loves).

I hope to see you linking up with us then. Now onto my tour…

Welcome! Our kitchen is hands down the busiest room in our home. It really is the heart of our home. We have big plans to re-do this space but until then, this is our kitchen and dining room…the place where we share about our days, the place where we pray together as a family, the place where we share meals and happiness…

My favorite area of the kitchen and where I begin each day…

This is a little sign my Mama got me and I love the saying on it. What a great reminder.

This curtain is actually a folded table cloth that came from my great-grandparents house.DSC_0042

I love cookbooks and these are my favorite ones. I have a couple of my grandma’s cookbooks and recipes that she has book marked and I love seeing them on my counter each day.

Here is another corner of our dining room and kitchen.

My grandparents gave Brandon and I this table as a wedding present and I will always cherish it.

Then I have my wine corner…and yes, that is an old rake head that works perfect for some of my wine glasses.

I also store my wine in an old apple crate.

Just a little peek into our kitchen, a little homey space that we all spend a lot of time in.

Thank you for reading today!

    1. Thank you Tanya! We built the chalkboard to cover three ugly windows and we love it. I usually post our menu on it or something seasonal! 🙂 Happy Tuesday!

    1. Laura, I love coffee and wine! The cookbooks are all a lot of fun, especially the ones from my grandma. I also have a cupboard full of them…my husband calls me a hoarder while I think it is more of a collection! Hahaha!

    1. Thank you Erin! I love being able to look around my house and have things that remind me of memories. And coffee…I can’t function without it. I would like to dress up my coffee bar a bit. Maybe this summer, that would be a fun project!
