10:10 April 2017

Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing with you 10 snapshots from the 10th of April. I loved that I was able to document the first Monday back to work after Spring Break. It was a great, “typical” Monday. Minus one soccer practice…

I like packing my lunches the night before so all I have to do is add it to my bag in the morning. For lunch on this day I had 1 cup of pasta salad (look for the recipe soon!) and some grapes.

For breakfast I had two hard boiled egg whites and strawberries.

We played a fun game in math where we practiced counting on from 10. The kids loved using pennies and dimes.

We have also been studying caterpillars and butterflies. We have one chrysalis left to hatch, but our other five caterpillars are now full-fledged butterflies. The kids were SOOOO excited to check them and watch them all day today. They have named them silly things like “burrito”, “sushi”, “Pokemon”, and other random names. Hahaha!

We also sorted and graphed jelly beans for a fun project.

After school Maddi and Guy came home and got right to reading. They are addicted to the “Predator Splashdown” book and are currently working on a report and scoring of the best ocean predator. I love my little book nerds.

Guy had baseball so sister and I enjoyed the sunshine.

We came home and had breakfast for dinner. Pancakes and sausage for the win.

I went out and worked in the yard for a bit and admired some of the blooms happening. The Dogwood trees are full of flowers right now and all look so pretty.

At 7 I went for a walk and the sunset was SO pretty. This picture did not do it justice, but even the river was pink from the reflection.

I ended my night with a cup of hot tea and some “Modern Family”. I hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. I crack up at their ideas, today our last one hatched and they named it Spiker. We let all the other butterflies go and they did not think this one would hatch but it did while we were at PE. It was a pretty exciting moment!

  1. That dogwood tree is beautiful! We did not get around to dying eggs and now have an unexpected trip..I’m going to miss having some leftover boiled eggs for snacks. I’ve been meaning to try boiling in my instapot.
