Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap…

What a whirlwind of a weekend. Friday and Saturday were packed and Sunday was spent relaxing at home. According to these pictures, Maddi was no where to be seen, but she was just off like lightning 🙂

Friday afternoon I rushed home to finish making a batch of Snickerdoodles for a fund raiser and the concession stands during our basketball games.

We all left for the games at 4:00 on Friday afternoon. While I was in the concession stand, my family was watching the games. They were able to see their cousin Joe play.

Meanwhile I was popping 100+ bags of popcorn and baking potatoes.

We got home around 9:00. We were all so tired and went right to bed.

Saturday morning started bright and early. Brandon took Guy to basketball and a hair cut while Maddi and I stayed home and cleaned. I also made a double batch of the snickerdoodles for the second night of concessions.

Between the kiddos basketball games we took advantage of the nice weather and washed my car. One of my goals for 2017 is to keep a cleaner car. Does anyone else have this problem? Oh my gosh, I don’t know how but the kids just trash my car. Anyways, we vacuumed it, wiped it down, and washed the outside (which was so dirty because of all the snow/salt/and de-icer).

On Saturday we went to Maddi’s basketball game. She scored three baskets! We were so proud of her, and she was so proud of herself. I cannot believe how much she has grown in four games.

After her game we celebrated with Big Trains and I rushed off to the basketball concessions. This was a great little fundraiser and I had a lot of fun, but I was so tired.

On Sunday we lounged. I did laundry, cleaning, and some meal prep. I also finished “The Crown” and took the kiddos for a bike ride.

We ended our night eating Opals as dessert. These apples are amazing! I can only find them at Costco right now, but they are as sweet as a golden delicious and as crunchy as a fuji. They are the best and only out for a limited time. They are so good both Maddi and Guy ask for them for dessert.

Happy Monday friends! I hope you have a great week ahead of you.

    1. Opals are the best. We wait all year for them to come back and being from Washington, we are apple eatin’ people. Have a great week!

    1. This time of the year is the pits if you are wanting a clean car on the outside. I need to be better about cleaning the inside of my car weekly and holding my kids more accountable. 🙂
