Favorite Christmas Movies

Hi, my name is Jenna and I am addicted to Christmas movies. I love them. Just know, this was difficult for me to rank them, knock some out of my top ten, and then find what order they fit in. Without further ado, here are my top ten Christmas movies…

Ten

The Santa Claus. I love this movie. Each year we buy a new (classic) Christmas movie and this is the one our kiddos will get this year.

Nine

The Family Stone - I laugh and cry every time I watch it. It is such a great story about the bonds of love and family and how they intertwine. I just love this movie.:

I am the only one in my house that watches this movie but it always makes me cry. What a great movie.

Eight

I watch “It’s a Wonderful Life” each year. In fact, I have my DVR set for this Saturday night.

My Top Ten Christmas Movies, It just does feel like Christmas till I see it.

Seven

My Dad LOVES “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and so does Guy. This is their favorite. All three of us much prefer the cartoon, but the Jim Carey version is also a must see for the season.

Dr. Seuss'

Six

All of the specials. And am I the only one that prefers to watch these on live TV instead of DVD? I wish they would air the California Raisin Christmas Special still, does anyone remember that one?

Rudolph~1960's and 70's. One of my favorite lines comes from this...

Frosty The Snowman ♥ I looked forward for this classic on tv every Christmas, as a child : )

Five

We have a Polar Express night each year where we hunker down in our PJ’s and order in pizza and make fancy cocoas and watch the Polar Express.

Four

Tis the season...and it's almost time to pull this traditional classic out and watch little Ralphie in his bunny suit!

Who does not love The Christmas Story? Ok, well my sister DOES NOT like it. It might have been because I used to get so jacked up that it was on for 24 hours and forced her to watch it on repeat #OlderBossySister. Hahahaha. And who doesn’t read the word “Fragile” as “Fra-Gee-Lee”?

Three

Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are still one of mine and my families all time favorite Christmas movies. In fact, this was the first Christmas movies that the kiddos requested this year. Done and done.

Esta es la única película que no quieres volver a ver pero que sabes que tarde o temprano te toparás con ella en la tv y la volverás a ver...Home Alone (1990)

Two

I remember watching this movie in the theaters when it first came out. I love watching it now with my own kiddos and find it just as funny now as I did then.

Elf (2003). I'll admit it. I just never got Will Ferrell until I saw elf. He's childish, but in the best way possible. When holiday stress starts to edge out the good stuff, I pop this dvd into the player and get the joy of the season back again.:

I feel like I need a drum roll for my FAVORITE, number one movie…

One

Classic Family Christmas Movies | The Texas Theatre | Movies Events | Christmas Vacation:

I have such vivid memories of watching this growing up and laughing so hard as a kid. Now I laugh for different reasons and find something new every time I watch it. I love this movie. Christmas time is not Christmas time without watching this movie at least once or twice. Aunt Bethany is one of my favorites, so is the neighbors, and Cousin Eddie. We all have a cousin Eddie don’t we?!?!

I cant stop pinning Christmas Vacation things @Theresa Brooks @Sheri Bedwell @Barbara Cohen:

Other honorable mentions that did not make the list include The Godfather, Hallmark movies, Miracle on 34th Street (new and old versions), Prancer, and many more. What are your favorite Christmas movies to watch? Thanks for reading today.

    1. I feel like my kids are really missing out without the California Raisins, or maybe it is not as good as I remember? Hahaha! Have a great day.

    1. I like Christmas with the Kranks also, it was a hard one to knock out of the top 10, but I have only seen it once and that was last year. Where have I been?!?!?

    1. I love them both. There are just so many things from both of them that make me laugh. And who can’t relate to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation?

    1. Hi Tricia, great minds think alike! I also love watching these throughout the season. I have a plan to watch The Holiday this weekend. I need to watch some newer movies 🙂 Have a great rest of your week!

  2. Such a great list! I totally should have done a top 10 because obviously after looking at your list I remember how much I love the Grinch! Plus any of the Christmas movies with Tim Allen crack me up. I do not think I’ve watched The Family Stone so that is officially on my list! Thanks so much for linking with Spiel the Beans!
